Mid Market Rent Compliance Programme: Get Tenancies Right from the Start

This free one hour course is the first step into our Mid-Market Rental Compliance Programme. It will provide a clear and practical understanding of what is different between social and mid-market tenancies, highlighting what matters most to support your day-to-day work.

Description

More and more Housing Association staff are moving into roles that include Mid-Market Rent (MMR), often without previous experience of working in the private rented sector. While your background in social housing provides a strong foundation, MMR brings a different set of rules, responsibilities, and expectations.

This free one-hour session is designed to help you make that transition with clarity and confidence.

Whether you are already working across both sectors or preparing to move into MMR, this session will give you a clear, practical understanding of what is different, what matters most, and how to avoid common pitfalls.

Why attend?

Because getting it wrong in the private rented sector can have serious consequences—for your organisation and your tenants. This session helps you get it right.

In just one hour, you will:

  • Understand the key differences between social and mid-market tenancies.
  • Learn how the private rented sector framework applies to your role.
  • Discover where to find the right legislation and guidance -quickly and reliably.
  • Build confidence in making compliant, informed decisions in your day-to-day work.

Learning Format

A virtual classroom is a learning environment where participants can interact, communicate, view and discuss material, while working in groups, via an online platform. LAS use Zoom.

For MMR training modules delivered virtually, the webinar facilitator will confirm a delegate is present and therefore delegates need to be visible via camera or have made LAS aware in advance of why this is not possible.
