Mid-Market Rent Compliance Programme Module 1 - Making Sure the Property is Ready

This module, delivered over two webinars, gives you the knowledge and practical tools to assess whether a property is ready to let.

Description

Is your property fit for purpose? Meet the standards that matter

Before a tenancy can begin, the property must meet a clear set of legal requirements. For Mid-Market Rent providers, understanding those requirements - and being confident they are met - is not optional. It is a core part of your compliance obligations under the Letting Agent Code of Practice.

This module gives you the knowledge and practical tools to assess whether a property is ready to let, understand the standards that apply in the private rented sector, and identify what needs to be in place before a tenancy begins.

Why attend?

Because renting out a property that does not meet the required standard puts your tenants at risk and your organisation in a difficult position. This module helps you get it right from the outset. Over two sessions, you will:

  • Understand the property standards that apply to Mid-Market Rent and how they differ from social housing requirements.
  • Know what checks, certificates, and documentation must be in place before a tenancy starts.
  • Learn how the Letting Agent Code of Practice applies to property condition and compliance.
  • Build confidence in making sound, defensible decisions about property readiness.

Who is this webinar for: This module is ideal for housing officers, tenancy managers, and property staff who want clear, practical guidance on meeting the required standard in the private rented sector.

Learning Format

A virtual classroom is a learning environment where participants can interact, communicate, view and discuss material, while working in groups, via an online platform. LAS use Zoom.

For MMR training modules delivered virtually, the webinar facilitator will confirm a delegate is present and therefore delegates need to be visible via camera or have made LAS aware in advance of why this is not possible.
